The team
My name is Gary GHENO, and I’m a dog trainer based in Savoie (73), more specifically near Moutiers. After a childhood spent playing SOS Animaux boardgame, watching Seasons and Arte, studying web and events management, travelling in France and abroad, doing seasons in ski resorts and working in a number of different jobs, I decided I had to get back to basics: our friends the dogs and sharing moments with them.
Uko has been sharing my life since the end of 2023, but he’s already very much in my heart. Every day he helps me to understand and learn a little more about dogs and their behaviour.
After my trip to New Zealand, I was able to meet many people and discover the values and cultures of the island’s inhabitants. Many different peoples live together in this small country that exudes love, trust, sharing and kindness. It is from this union of cultures, this blend of values, that ako was born! This Maori word means a lot, and I invite you to understand what it means by reading its meaning here.
To become a dog trainer specialized in behaviour, I completed a 6-month training course at the Centre de Formation Européen, as well as a number of work placements with professional dog trainers in Savoie and in a veterinary clinic run by Dr Gerbier (a veterinary doctor specialising in behaviour). After obtaining my ACACED, I continue to learn about this profession and its practices every day through conferences, training courses, meetings and books.
I am currently based in Moutiers, Savoie, in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region (73). I can travel to various towns in the surrounding area, such as Brides-les-Bains, Bozel, Aime, Aigueblanche, Petit Coeur, Grand Coeur, La Léchère, etc. In winter, I’m in Courchevel, the ski resort.

My philosophy
Altruism emanates from the act of sharing, which illustrates the benevolence inherent in this approach. Sharing transcends the simple division of material resources; it embodies generosity of spirit. By offering a part of ourselves, we forge bonds based on mutual understanding and empathy.
It is a tacit declaration that shared prosperity enriches each individual. The essence of “sharing is caring” lies in the act of giving becoming an act of love and respect towards others. In this way, sharing becomes an essential pillar in everyday life, between us as human beings and the world around us.
